We’re pleased to announce that the school board named Dr. Sean Alford as the District’s new superintendent at the special called board meeting held on June 30th at the District office. Dr. Alford comes to Aiken County with two decades of administrative experience in South Carolina’s public schools. He is currently an Assistant Superintendent in Dorchester School District Two in Summerville, South Carolina.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration will be conducted over two days:
Location – New Gym
12th grade:  August 10, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
9th Grade:  August 10, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
All grades:  August 12, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
 
Returning students must provide TWO PROOFS OF RESIDENCY (water or power bill and a current lease, mortgage statement, or property tax receipt in the parent/guardian’s name).  This includes students attending the school on special permission through “Transfer” / “Hardship.”  Students new to the District must also provide an official birth certificate and immunization/shot record.
 
Credit Card Registration:  In order to expedite registration, you may pay fees online after July 1 with a credit card at http://www.aiken.k12.sc.us.  Look under Quicklinks (center of page).  Click on Fee Payments Online.  Bring your receipt to registration and enter the express line.  The cutoff date for pre-paying fees by credit card will be August 3, 2015.
 
Parking Passes will be sold at both registrations for $20.00.  Seniors will have reserved parking in the Senior parking lot; however, parking passes will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.  Your child must have a driver’s license, registration, and proof of current insurance at time of purchasing his or her parking pass.
 
Yearbooks will be sold at both registrations for $70.00.  This is a discounted price.
 
Lunch forms will be available at registration to determine if your child is eligible for free or reduced lunch.  Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch prices will also qualify for free or reduced school fees. At the time of registration, you will pay fees according to what you qualified for last year. You must fill out a new form within the first 30 days each year in order to determine your status for the present school year.  If any life changes occur after the 30 days, please see lunchroom manager.

Free Lunch Fee –          $  0.00
Parking Pass -               $20.00
Yearbook -                    $70.00
DECA (AHS) Agenda- $10.00
AHS Career Center Students pay $12.00 per each course taken at AHS.  A list of Career Center fees can be found on the Career & Technology Center Webpage.
