Senior Class News and Events
Senior Awards Day is scheduled for the morning of Friday, May 20th.  Attending the Senior Awards Day ceremony is a requirement to be able to participate in the actual graduation ceremony. Mr. Cofer is the only person allowed to give you permission to miss this event. Appropriate dress, as well as cap and gown, are required on this day.
Appropriate dress for both awards day and graduation day is as follows:
Males: A white dress shirt and a dark tie (no bow ties) should be worn.  Also, black dress pants as well as dark socks and dark dress shoes are required. Coats may be left off for comfort. NO JEANS.
Females: A dress or skirt and blouse with no fabric showing at the neck of the gown should be worn. In effect, this will achieve a V neck appearance with the collar. The skirt length must be shorter than the graduation gown. Black dress heels or flats (no flip-flops, although sandals and wedges are allowed) are also required. A white collar comes with the cap and gown and is to be pinned or sewn to the gown before arriving to the exercises. Please avoid large jewelry pieces.
Caps: Tassels on caps are to be worn on the right side. You are to wear the normal green/gold tassel and not the “bling” tassel that was purchased by some.
Each graduate will be given 10 tickets to graduation. No extra tickets will be available through the school or through the Convocation Center. Tickets will be distributed on the day of graduation practice, Thursday, June 2nd at 1:00pm in the new gym. You DO NOT have to wear your cap and gown to practice.
Please contact/see Mrs. Kimberly Baynham with any questions concerning upcoming Senior events.
The Class of 2016’s graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 3rd, at 12:00 p.m. at the USC-Aiken Convocation Center.
All seniors must have returned all library books and paid all fees or fines that are due for any purpose by Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Any student who has not cleared his/her financial obligation to the school, as per district policy, will be unable to participate in the graduation exercises.  He/She will be able to pick up his/her diploma at the school office on June 6, 2016 provided all problems have been cleared with the appropriate school personnel.
